"So How Do I Become a Coldstreamer?"

The best way to get started with the Coldstream Guards is to contact the Guardsman closest to you.  All of us began just like you.  You may have seen us at an event or parade.  You may have seen one of the documentaries on WWII or England and seen the reenactors in it.  You have thought, "That looks like fun, that could be me."
Williamsburg

It is fun and it can be you in the British Battle Dress of WWII or the red uniforms of the past.  Call us, and we can help you put together the uniform and equipment of a Guardsman in any time period you are interested in.  The cost of building a basic WWII uniform, weapon, kit and tent is under $1,000.  Other time periods can be more or less.  But this cost is not charged all at one time.  As you build the uniform and gather the items for your impression you will be learning drill and life of the Coldstream Guards.  Soon you will be ready to take your place in the ranks.

Families are encouraged to join.  The women of the museum are very important to the impression.  In WWII they portray the ATS, which was assigned to the Coldstream Guards.  They help with camp life as well as explore the women's role in WWII.  Children also participate in the hobby.  Many of our current members have children who have grown up in the hobby.  When they are old enough, the boys start to learn the drums.   As they get older, many have chosen to move to the ranks as soldiers.

Below are some names of representatives for the States where we have members.  Give them a call or send a message.  They are available to talk.  If you are located outside of the Midwest, check out the links page or call us and we can put you in contact with the Guards Company nearest you.
